Brady, Davignon Have 600s; Williams Close

South Glens Falls - Ellen Marcantonio fired a female-record 583 series Thursday afternoon flying solo for Twisted Sisters, leading them to a 4-0 shutout over The Last Two and into sole possession of first place in the Forever Young league after three weeks of play at Kingpin's Alley. Ellen's games were 221, 201 and 161, a super effort.

The Yanks, Over The Hill Gang and The Wombats (formerly 10) are tied for the runner-up spot at 8-4, just a game-and-a-half behind. Mark Basso had 561 to pace the Yanks to their sweep against Up And Downs. John Urban's solo 204-529 gave the Gang a 3-1 edge over The Wombats, despite Gary Samson's 206-539.

Roy Brady led the circuit with 609 on games of 182, 180 and 247 and got decent assistance from anchor Don Williams' 217-174-207 for 598 but the 6-6 Tomahawks fell to Leftover 3-1 as Ray Davignon fired 237 and 210 at the front end of his 606 series.

Fire And Ice split with the Marauders as Floyd Butler fashioned 214-181-531. The Singers beat Kay + Dick 3-1 behind anchor Joe Sycuro's fine 185-184-537. Dick Kenneally put 235 at the end of his 571 set.

The session average was 164.
