South Glens Falls - Fire And Ice (23-5) raised their points-ahead margin to a half-dozen Thursday afternoon with a 3-1 victory over the always-tough Wombats as the Forever Young league crept closer to the halfway mark of the summer season. Floyd Butler paced the win with 209-227-176 for 612.
Wyman Swinton posted top honors for the day with 623 on games of 225, 234 and 164 as Leftover beat the Marauders 3-1. Bob Hughes tallied the other 600+ set with an unusual 619 on games of 249, 245 and 125 in Team Adirondack's 3-1 triumph over Long-Short (17-11).
John Urban was closest without going over for the Over The Hill Gang, shooting 212, 150 and 234 for 596 as they pounded the third-place (15-13) Tomahawks 3-1.
Fourth to tenth place is populated by three teams at 14-14 and four at 13-15.
High averages are: Don Williams (220), Swinton (211), Butler (208) and Chuck Boykin (202).
